Julia Zurilla is a multidisciplinary visual artist.

Over the years she has managed to confirm that she can effectively develop a career as a creator from different fields: art director, researcher specialized in images and web content, and continue to be an artist "in practice".

"I work on all projects as if they were art, with the enthusiasm, sensibility and commitment of personal creative work."

Julia has worked as an art director for the past 25 years, from short films and commercial productions to series for TV networks such as Telemundo.  In 2000, with the development of the educational website for the Colección Cisneros, she began working on projects for the web. Since then she collaborates as a content developer and web designer for institutions, artists, collectors, and organizations related to art and culture.

Art, Art Direction, Design and Web Development, are her main fields of action.

Julia Zurilla has recently received distinctions such as the The Ellies Cinematic Award from Oolite Arts (2025), the No Vacancy Public Art Award from the City of Miami Beach during Art Basel (2024), the Miami Individual Artist Grants from the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs (2024, 2023), and the Corral & Cathers Artist Fund grant from the Coral Gables Community Foundation (2023).
